Why spoil the Columbus Day Parades?

Tehran, Sept 19, IRNA

Iran-US-Spokesman
Supporters of the Zionist regime will receive their response during the world Qods Day's rallies, government spokesman, Gholam-Hossein Elham, said Wednesday.

The spokesman made the remarks during his weekly press conference while commenting on the current visit to the occupied Palestine of the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Qods Day is held each year on the last Friday of Muslims fasting month of Ramadan after it was nominated by the late Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, as a day to voice the protest of the Islamic Ummah against the Zionists.

The day falls on October 12 this year.

"The US loses all opportunities to cooperate with regional and other world states by trying to support a regime (the Zionist regime) which is now at its weakest political and social position," Elham said.

He warned that Washington's insistence on its wrong policies and arrogant approaches would have no result "but further political disgrace" for itself.

Referring to the approaching World Qods Day, the spokesman stressed, "Supporters of the Zionist regime will definitely receive the final response for their support on that day."

Seems like Iran has been led by anti-semitic jerks since we let Carter destroy peace and democracy in the region...

Our loss, Heaven's gain...

Dr. D. James Kennedy is with Jesus Christ in Heaven

Once again, the Christian community has lost a giant of the Faith. Dr. D. James Kennedy died at his home just after 2 a.m. this morning. More than anything, Dr. Kennedy must be remembered as a preacher of the Gospel and of Christ crucified. But he was also one of the men who left the most significant and lasting influences on the Church in America during the last quarter of the twentieth century. He dedicated his life to fighting for the Lordship of Christ. We would be well-served to embrace the best examples of this from his illustrious legacy. Read More

WHERE are we headed????

1963 Communist Goals
The following was entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69) in 1963.

1) US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war

2) US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war

3) Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of "moral strength"

4) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5) Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites

6) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination

7) Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.

8) Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN

9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress

10) Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN

11) Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo)

12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party

13) Do away with loyalty oaths

14) Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office

15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the US

16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.

18) Gain control of all student newspapers

19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings", substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.

23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. " Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art".

24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

26) Present Homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal, natural, and healthy".

27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch"

28) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state"

29) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30) Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man".

31) Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture:" Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33) Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI

36) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37) Infiltrate and gain control of big business

38) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political, or social problems.

43) Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44) Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45) Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

Mr Chertoff! Put Up That Wall!

Duncan Hunter responds to Chertoff on the Border Fence
SEPTEMBER 11, 2007

GLENN BECK PROGRAM
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

GOP President Candidate Duncan Hunter

GLENN: Now, Duncan Hunter, tell me, how many miles, Stu, did he just say that he had built? That's incredible.

STU: 120?

GLENN: 120 miles built. Last I heard it was 12. Duncan Hunter?

HUNTER: I'm sorry, yeah.

GLENN: Sorry. I don't know what happened technically. Give me your line again, that he has the wrong amount of fence.

HUNTER: Well, when Mr. Chertoff says he has built 120 miles of fence, he's taking credit for the fence that I built back in the 1990s. Officially, and I've got the official documents for how much they built of the 854 miles of fence that my bill mandated that the President sign last October, they've only built 17.9 miles of that fence, of the 854.

GLENN: Unbelievable.

HUNTER: Up through the last of August. They just sent us a new report that said they are actually up to 30 miles. They are not up to 120 miles and Mr. Chertoff's taking credit for fence that I built during the Clinton administration.

GLENN: Okay, real quick. The money, it was put into the bill, right?

HUNTER: There's $800 million cash on hand at the Department of Homeland Security available for the fence. Now, Mr. Chertoff says, well, I've got permission to use that for other things. That's true, but he hasn't been using it for other things, and he has a law that mandates that he construct a border fence and that he complete the Arizona sector, which is 392 miles, by May 30th of 2008. And unless he gets started full board right now with multiple contracts, he will never make that deadline.

GLENN: What are the penalties? Any penalties for not completing this? Did you get any teeth in this?

HUNTER: There's no penalty except being voted out of office. But the other penalty we have is this, Glenn. We have an open border through which people are streaming. You've already had 120 people die in the Arizona sun of heat stroke and dehydration. If we had a double fence there, those people, all illegal aliens, would not have died out there. So if this is a humanitarian thing, if there's any way to appeal to Mr. Chertoff just to do his job, just to bring in contractors, give them contracts, give them each a section of the fence and have them start working.

GLENN: Duncan Hunter, running for President of the United States. Thank you, sir.

HUNTER: Many thanks. I'll send those documents to you.

GLENN: Please do. Please do. We'll get a response from him.

HUNTER: Bye-bye.

Who has "The Right Stuff"?

Why Duncan Hunter Has My Vote
Gen. Chuck YeagerFrom the desk of
Gen. Chuck
Yeager:

November 20, 2006

To my Fellow
Americans,

Congressman Duncan Hunter is the best candidate for President of the United States of America that I know - he has integrity, tenacity, courage, and diplomacy. He is intelligent and thoughtful, does his research, and acts on it.

I have known Congressman Duncan Hunter for over 35 years. Duncan served his country in the Army and is a Vietnam vet. In Vietnam, he served in one of the most dangerous outfits - the 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 75th Army Rangers.

Duncan Hunter is the former and very effective Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and I am proud to be the Honorary Chair of the Congressman Duncan Hunter for President Committee.

What's Wrong With Superman?

Venezuela's Chavez warns private schools
(Original from Yahoo, amateurish fisking from yours truly)

By IAN JAMES, Associated Press Writer Mon Sep 17, 1:27 PM ET

CARACAS, Venezuela - President Hugo Chavez threatened on Monday to close or take over any private school that refuses to submit to the oversight of his socialist government as it develops a new curriculum and textbooks.

Very Progressive of him! Just ask Sean Penn or Cindy Sheehan...

"Society cannot allow the private sector to do whatever it wants," said Chavez, speaking on the first day of classes.

But the Lefties eat his pseudo-commie carp like it was ambrosia?  And they complain about Bush!

All schools, public and private, must admit state inspectors and submit to the government's new educational system, or be closed and nationalized, with the state taking responsibility for the education of their children, Chavez said.

"You have the right to remain silent," a Chavez spokesman told a government critic...

A new curriculum will be ready by the end of this school year, and new textbooks are being developed to help educate "the new citizen," said Chavez's brother and education minister Adan Chavez, who joined him a televised ceremony at the opening of a public school in the eastern town of El Tigre.

"When we want your opinion," the government told educators, "we'll give it to you."

The president's opponents accuse him of aiming to indoctrinate young Venezuelans with socialist ideology. But the education minister said the aim is to develop "critical thinking," not to impose a single way of thought.

Correct thinking, he meant to say...  Where are the MSM comparisons to Orwell now that it's REALLY happening in our Hemisphere?

Just what the new curriculum will include and how it will be applied to all Venezuelan schools and universities remains unclear.

Yeah.  Really unclear.  Because, as we all know, Mr. Chavez has been so difficult to figure out...

"We want to create our own ideology collectively — creative, diverse," the president said, adding that it would help develop values of "cooperation and solidarity."

"Diverse" meaning everyone thinks, acts, and breathes the Party Line...  Whatever that happens to be at the time...

All schools will be bound to "subordinate themselves to the constitution" and comply with the "new Bolivarian educational system," he said, referring to his socialist movement named after South American independence hero Simon Bolivar.

Kinda sad and kinda funny, actually...  Bolivar initially fought against guys like Chavez; but eventually became a dictator because he was unable to convince his neighbors to cede power to a central government.  Effectively deposed in 1830, he died a painful death of tuberculosis while preparing to return to Europe in ignominy...

Oh Yeah! I really gotta go see D-War!

Or not.  But I probably will...

Reviews include:
“Dragon Wars” (or “D-War” as the hip youth of America call it these days) may just give “Plan 9 From Outer Space” and “Trolls 2” a run for their money. The movie’s plot and editing are so outrageously bad that nobody will ever get genuine pleasure from this film. There isn't a person on the planet that can suspend that much disbelief. The acting is painful and nothing really makes any sense. This is not a movie to watch for escapism. This is a movie to watch with a bunch of friends and heckle mercilessly. (http://efilmcritic.com/review.php?movie=16542&reviewer=396)

and
This one's for connoisseurs of the "totally preposterous cr@p" school of fantasy cinema. You know who you are: You have all the Warlock sequels on Laserdisc, the complete Leprechaun series on DVD, and go see Uwe Boll movies on opening weekend (http://www.laweekly.com/film+tv/film-reviews/film-reviews-king-of-california-mr-woodcock-shadow-company/17215/)

But how can we leave out the ever popular:

It’s not a good sign when the characters in a fantasy film repeatedly say things like, “What are you talking about?” and “I don’t understand,” as they do in the Korean-produced, American-set “Dragon Wars.”

If they can’t follow the labyrinthine legends and myths that govern the narrative, what hope is there for the rest of us? Though initially burdened by endless exposition, “Dragon Wars” eventually casts story aside to focus on the concerns of its title: large lizards menacing a cast of vaguely familiar American actors. I think the thing that has me hooked is that I'm 100 percent certain that it'll be better than the stuff they have on the SciFi channel next Saturday...  and Studio Movie Grill has decent burgers...  ;-)

Time to write a letter...

To:      AskDOJ@usdoj.gov

From:    A Concerned Citizen

Date:    Today

Subject: Possible violation 18 USC, Sections 2381-2389

Dear US Justice Department,

My starting point for evidence is this posting at Michelle Malkin's blog which quote those I believe may be guilty of Treason and Sedition: http://michellemalkin.com/2007/09/17/the-lefts-seditious-war-on-military-recruiters/

Reference for law I peceived as being broken: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode18/usc_sup_01_18_10_I_20_115.html

Please note, I am not a lawyer, legal aide, or anything like that.  I do have friends in the military, however.  If I was properly trained, I might be able to phrase this a lot better...  perhaps as an "amicus curiae" or something like that.

My understanding is that hindering recruitment in time of war (18 USC, Sections 2388), demoralizing our troops (18 USC, Sections 2387), and actively supporting our enemies (18 USC, Sections 2382, and maybe 2390) are serious crimes, not protected Free Speech under the First Amendment.  I further understand that not reporting these crimes is also a crime (18 USC, Sections 2382).  In addition, the apparent cohesiveness of theis so-called Peace Activist network implies a Seditious Conspiracy (18 USC, Sections 2384).

They may also be guilty in certain jurisdictions of violations under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organization laws (18 USC, Sections 1660, 1961).

Please look into these groups and prosecute them if they're guilty of damaging the USA.  All of us who love this country and want to continue to enjoy our freedoms will support you.

Thanks,

JTB-in-Texas

Drudge Makes Petraeus look like a Frenchman!

Petraeus Outlines Troop Withdrawal Plans...

Even though he spoke well and provided a great plan for moving forward, a picture ans a few words out of context make the General look bad...  almost comical...

Hmm  reminds me of someone...

Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald

Michael McDonald holds the title for the longest run of the current cast, now entering his tenth season. Over the years, MAD fans have grown to love Michael's wide-ranging menagerie of odd-ball characters including the beleaguered Arab tow-truck driver Mofaz, the overbearing Hollywood fat-so Marvin Tikvah, and of course the endlessly irritating and amusing man-child Stuart.

Maybe there's a skit in there somewhere...

Remembering what else is really important...

We all want peace. But if we hold any beliefs strongly, we will find others who disagree--sometimes violently. Whether National Identity, Religion (or freedom thereof), or any other creed, someone will denounce what we believe.

The only way to always avoid conflict is to always surrender, always acquiesce. That is the way to become a slave. And that is worse than war...

True peace comes not from avoiding stress or conflict but from learning how to live with diversity. We enjoyed a great deal of diversity in our days at Humboldt State University (HSU)! We met people from all around the world. We took classes with and from them. We got along. I never saw a fistfight at HSU; but we did have a lot of passionate debates about many topics.

THAT is the message of peace we need to share ("Lux Veritas"). We are NOT one big family. We do not all love each other, even in America (or haven't you read the comments about Bush, Cheney, etc.). BUT, just because we don't have to raise our voices or our fists to defend our beliefs in a free socety doesn't mean we can allow others to suffer under tyranny and oppression.

Crying "We Want Peace!" without honoring all humans (including the Christians in Darfur, the Falun Gong in China, and the whites in Zimbabwe) is a craven lie. We are all slaves while one of us is (like the "mules" used to smuggle drugs across borders). We owe our freedom to others who gave it to us (often at great cost to themselves) and we owe the same sacrifice to those who are not free.

Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and many others were not afraid of "fighting" for their freedom, even though they did not see the "Peace" they sought after. We should not be so eager for "Peace" that we forget the rest...

We signed a pledge when I graduated in 1988, to be true to our beliefs. I, at least, will be.
